Learn casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and binding off while making a potholder or scarf. Your choice of "picking" or "throwing" method of knitting. This class is for you if you've never held needles before, or you want to get back into knitting.

Afghan Square of the Month
Knit a new afghan square pattern each month. You need to know how to knit and purl, but anything else can be learned in class. Each pattern will be unique but not difficult; we will have a sample of our new pattern at each class.
2nd Wed of every month 1:00 - 2:00. $15/month or 6 for $60.
Make a sweater of your choice that fits the way you want it to. Some suggestions for the pattern: from the Knit Swirl book, or a simple top-down pullover or cardigan. We'll get you on the right track and keep you there and you will gain experience in pattern reading. The class will meet every Saturday.
Don't worry if you have to miss a class: you can pay for a class as you take it, $15 each; or 6 for $60.
"And all through the house, not a creature was stirring," just the mouse you knit for the holidays. A small project, the size depends on your yarn choice. The mouse is worked best using magic loop. Learn some tricks and give yourself a seasonal treat.
The class will take place over two Sundays: November 23 & December 7; 1-3pm $40
$5 Kit (payable to instructor) includes pattern, stuffing, eyes and connecting washers, face backing.
Bring yarn & needles two sizes smaller than usually used with the yarn. Any size yarn will work; the finer the yarn the smaller the mouse.
Fair Isle Hat
A great project to work on Scandinavian patterning. You will learn 2 cast-on methods — German Twisted (also called Old Norwegian) and Tubular.
